Are your products UL/cUL approved?
Yes, our products meet UL requirements and are labeled accordingly for Wet, Damp/Dry or Dry Location use.
Can I shorten or lengthen the cord on my pendant light?
Yes, the pendant will come with a standard 6’ black SJT cord which may be cut to the desired length required for installation. If you require extra cord, you may purchase by the foot at the time of order.
What is the appropriate height to mount a pendant light over a table or counter?
A general rule of thumb is that the bottom of shade should hang between 30”-36” over your work surface. The higher the light is installed, the greater the spread of light it will provide.
How many pendant lights should I mount over my kitchen island?
Pendants should be mounted 24” apart. Therefore two 16” pendants mounted 24” apart would illuminate an 80” surface.
Is my RLM fixture dimmable?
Provided a dimmable bulb is being used, all RLM fixtures will dim if using a compatible dimming system. Our LED retrofit bulbs use forward and reverse phase dimming which are compatible with 120V dimmers.
Is it possible to mount my wall light directly to an electrical junction box?
Yes, our wall lights are designed with a mounting plate that is meant to be wired directly to 4” octagon junction box. We recommend, but do not supply, a bead of silicone sealant on the edge of the box for a weathertight seal for exterior installations.
Can I connect a photocell/motion sensor to my RLM fixture?
Yes, these sensors are available from DIY/electrical stores and may be connected to any outdoor lighting product. Check bulb compatibility with photocell prior to purchasing.
